Cycling

Cycling is a great way to get more active. Getting on your bike can be fun, it is environmentally friendly and a cheap way to get around.

Cycling increases your heart rate and strengthens muscles. It is a great way to burn calories and is good for your mental wellbeing.

To make sure you are safe whilst cycling, make sure you check your bike before each ride, wear a helmet and ensure your bike has lights.

So why not give cycling a go and BE YOUR OWN HERO!

In St Helens there are plenty of parks and green spaces to practise cycling if you are a beginner or haven’t been on a bike for a while. You can also download the St Helens Cycle Map, to view all cycle routes in St Helens.
