Active St Helens is a physical activity campaign which aims to increase physical activity levels in the Borough. The objectives are to promote four activities (cycling, swimming, walking and running) to all ages and abilities. The campaign will target those currently inactive. The information collected through this website will allow the campaign to identify gaps in the marketing and provide further support and information to those consenting to further contact.

Legal Basis for Processing

In line with the General Data Protection Regulation we will process your data based via the legal basis of consent for the purpose of marketing emails.

Article 6 (1) (a) : the data subject has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes.

Your data will be held for 2 years by St Helens Borough Council and it will not be shared with any third party.

Right of access – you have the right to view the information we hold about you.
Right to rectification – you have the right for incorrect information to be rectified.
Right to withdraw consent at any time.

buddyboost challenge privacy policy

The buddyboost challenge is an activity challenge that will take place in May 2022, aiming to encourage inactive St Helens based employees and residents to undertake more physical activity. The information collected through this website will help to identify people who can champion the buddyboost challenge within their workplace and encourage their colleagues to take part; it will enable us to provide them with the necessary information to be able to do this.

In line with the General Data Protection Regulation, we will process your data via the legal basis of consent.
Article 6 (1) (a) : the data subject has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes.

Your data will be held for 6 months by St Helens Borough Council. By consenting, you give permission for the buddyboost challenge organiser (this is St Helens Borough Council) to contact you about the challenge.
